On Thursday the 22 of August at 19:00 a gala dinner will be arranged in the the Concert Hall Harpa

Harpa opened its doors in May 2011 and is home to the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and the Icelandic Opera. Harpa also hosts a myriad of concerts spanning all musical genres, and numerous events, meetings and conferences.

Harpa’s glass façade is designed by renowned artist Olafur Eliasson, in cooperation with Henning Larsen Architects. The design is based on a geometric principle, realized in two and three dimensions. Reminiscent of the crystallised basalt columns commonly found in Iceland, the southern facades create kaleidoscopic reflections of the city and the striking surrounding landscape.

Harpa was selected as one of the greatest concert halls of the new millennium by Gramophone magazine and was selected Best Performance venue 2011 by Travel & Leisure magazine.

The gala dinner will be arrange in Silfurberg on the second floor of Harpa.
